Effective date: 4 October 2026
Hamlet is a habit tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch made by Yusuf Kildan, an independent developer in Türkiye (“we”, “us”). This policy explains which personal data Hamlet handles, where it goes, why, and what you can do about it. For Türkiye, this policy is also our privacy notice under KVKK Article 10. Using Hamlet, including buying Hamlet Pro, is also covered by our Terms of Use.
This policy is published in English and Turkish. If the two versions ever differ, the one that is more favourable to you applies.
In short
- Hamlet has no accounts and no sign-in. Your habits, notes and kingdom, including your gold, steel, XP and achievements, stay on your devices. We have no server of our own and cannot see them.
- We do not show ads, do not sell your data, and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Purchases go through Apple. RevenueCat checks whether you have Hamlet Pro.
- Google Firebase gives us usage statistics and crash reports. For example, we can see that a habit was completed, but never which habit or what it is called. This data is not tied to your name or email address.
- This version has no setting to turn off usage statistics and crash reports (section 3.3).
- If you email us, we see your email address, your message and the device details the app adds to it, and use them only to answer you.
1. Who is responsible
Yusuf Kildan is the controller of your personal data under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data that stays on your devices
Hamlet stores the following only on your devices, in the app’s private storage on your iPhone, which Hamlet’s widgets also use:
- your habits: name, description, icon, colour, targets, schedule and reminder times;
- your progress: completions, amounts, streaks, day notes and statistics;
- your kingdom: the hero you choose and the name you give it, buildings, resources such as gold and steel, XP, quests, achievements, focus mode minutes and your previous kingdoms;
- your settings, and a random ID the app creates for this installation;
- copies the app makes on its own: a full copy of your data each time before you import a backup and, in rare cases, a recovery copy of your kingdom if it could not be loaded or saved.
If you use Hamlet’s Apple Watch app, your Apple Watch keeps a copy of your habits and their progress. It does not receive your notes, reminders or kingdom. Your iPhone and Apple Watch exchange this data directly, using Apple’s built-in connection between the two devices; it does not pass through us.
